Not to win. To get clearer. Same corner the whole time.

Matt: Push everything left. (gained: the thesis, out loud)
Claudius Counterpunch (AI): Who's doing the fixing? (gained: find the real bottleneck)
Matt: Fast calls expose the real bottleneck: proving it is safe. (gained: prove safety with the record)
Claudius Counterpunch (AI): Three agents, one mind in three hats? (gained: agents need real stakes)
Matt: Give each one its role's real values. (gained: values live in the context)
Claudius Counterpunch (AI): Who funds the plumbing? (gained: name who owns the pipes)
Matt: An investment. Repeat questions get cheap. (gained: cheap answers are an investment)
Claudius Counterpunch (AI): Clearer now.
Matt: Better than winning. (gained: same goals, both better)
They hug. Same corner.
Sparring partner
One animated screen in a retro boxing-game style, hand-coded with Claude the same evening as the sparring session it shows. An original design, not any game's characters. October 22, 2026.
I never did drills. No reps, nothing like the real thing, just the real thing. Now I get round after round with AI. I throw an idea, it hits back with the hardest objection it can find, I answer, it scores it, we go again. My knuckles are bruised and the dummy is torn up. But I'm not fighting to win. I'm working toward clarity, and that's better than winning. We want the same thing, and both of us come out of it with a better idea than we went in with. The look is a nod to Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! and its unforgettable opponents; Claudius is our own.
Idea: Mine, from an evening of arguing out Series 2 with Claude. The drawing is Claude's, from my description. Β· How I use AI
